MAOGCC Praises Approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline

In reaction to the decision of the Nebraska Public Service Commission to approve the alternate route for TransCanada’s Keystone XL pipeline, Richard Dunbar, President of the Montana Association of Oil, Gas, & Coal Counties, made the following statement:

“The Nebraska Public Service Commission’s approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline will help grow the economy of our state and provide good-paying, stable jobs for Montanans,” said Dunbar. “This decision is particularly important for those Montana counties that would be directly impacted by the influx of employment opportunities and tax revenue this project would generate. This is great news for Montana, and for our nation’s energy future.”
